Beautiful pansy flower

Garden pansy flower - a herbaceous perennial plant of hybrid origin family of Violet. The specific name wittrokiana violet was in honor of the Swedish professor of botany Veit Wittrock (Eng. Wittrock Veit Brecher, 1839-1914), director of the Botanical Gardens Bergen (Eng. Bergianska Botanical Gardens) and the author of books on the history of this plant. The plant silnovetvistoe compact or semi-spreading form a height of 15-40 cm. The flowers are large, up to 10 cm in diameter, solitary, are formed in the leaf axils.

If violet is grown as annual crops for summer flowering seeds sown indoors in February and March. Flowering plants are planted to a permanent place in late April - early May. This method of cultivation is practiced in urban gardening. 3-4 years violets grow strongly, bushes fall apart, lose their decorative and flowering becomes more scarce. To prevent degeneration, bushes every 3 years dig and divide or produce reseeding.
